Segundo Metacritic os portáteis dedicados aos jogos não estão indo muito bem, por causa dos celulares e tablets que continuam atraindo os desenvolvedores de jogos e que tanto o 3DS, quanto o PS VITA, não teve um maior número de jogos em relação a 2013. Ambos portáteis tem saído mesma quantidade de jogos com criticas positivas.
Parece que essa história de que o PS VITA, não tem jogos, pode não ser mesmo verdade, ambos portáteis tem jogos, porém muito menos jogos em relação ao que era o PSP e Nintendo DS, devido aos dispositivos móveis.
